Overview:

Burstner are another of Germany’s prolific motorhome and caravan manufacturers, having a huge plant at Kehl, near Stuttgart. 2008 saw the brand celebrate its 50th anniversary and for 2009, Burstner aren’t resting on their laurels.

With a 39 model lineup across the entire motorhome class spectrum, Burstner are looking to appeal to every sector of the market.  And now, Burstner also breaks new ground with their ‘Ixeo IT’ range – not pronounced ‘it’ as we know it, but ‘i’ and ‘t’ separately, which translate from German motorhome model title prefixes as both integrated and low profile. Designed to have universal appeal, these ‘i t’ models offer both traditional low profile and coachbuilt style layouts with the added benefit of a pull-down bed over the dinette, meaning no bed make up is required.

What caught our attention when we visited Camper UK at Lincoln, was this, the it666, which has a family bunk bed layout, yet a low profile, streamlined body.  This will appeal to people who like the idea of a family motorhome but don’t like the look of a conventional ‘pod’ over the cab.
