The Autosleeper Duetto is a long-running Ford-based High Top conversion, initially available on 2.5litre diesel power unit. Turbo-diesel from late 1999. Mid 90's range in beige external paint, otherwise white. Good looking silver paint option on later models. Layout consists of front lounge with swivel seats and rear kitchen and washroom. Easy unrestricted access through side cargo door. Two berth with good equipment levels including full kitchen and washroom. Comfortable living space and three bed options - small double, large double or two singles. Good quality soft furnishings and wall linings. Washroom door has hinged flap to create private area for changing. A firm favourite still sought after on the secondhand market.
Points of note:
3 seatbelts but not really three berth unless you're friendly or one sleeps in an awning or annexe. Beige-coloured examples prone to rust, especially around wheel arches. Decals may be faded and peeling, check the hightop front. Limited storage. Floor mounted gearchange and low cab bulkhead can be awkward for some to navigate, when moving between cab/living area.
